Notwithstanding acting in some blockbuster Telugu movies, Pawan Kalyan says he never needed to be an on-screen character. He stated, "I was into sadness. My sibling (Chiranjeevi) was a performing artist by then. He claimed an authorized gun. I needed to execute myself, yet my family advised me. I then started exploring different avenues regarding life. I examined PCs, honed yoga, learned hand to hand fighting. I never needed to be an on-screen character. I needed to be a yogi."

Pawan stated, "My brother(Chiranjeevi) would return home in the wake of a prolonged day and I would trouble him with my theories - you know like life is a candy and such (chuckles). When he got aggravated with me and instructed me to make something concrete out of life. By then, I understood I have missed my training I missed everything positive in life. My lone alternative was to be a performer."
Last found in the superhit film Saddar Gabbar Singh, Pawan anticipates the arrival of his forthcoming film Katamaryudu, which is the Telugu change of Tamil blockbuster Veeram.
